On July 18, Andy, Gayeong, and I met up to eat and game while Andy and I later saw a drama filming.

Korean-Fusion Restaurant

Andy and I met with Gayeong, Andy's friend that he met in Shanghai last summer. After meeting at the Hapjeong Station Exit 1, she took us to a popular Korean-fusion Italian place for lunch, located in Hongdae near the club street. When we arrived there at 1:00 pm, we had to wait for 30 minutes as there was a line outside the restaurant. We introduced ourselves, decided what to eat, and talked about our lives until we were called. The restaurant itself was very quaint and small, having a very home-y aesthetic while only being able to serve about 30 customers at once. She got the pasta; Andy got the steak plate; I got the Hamburger Steak plate. The prices were very affordable at around 10,000 ₩.

VR Cafe

After eating the food, we decided to head to a VR café called REDVR. The price was 30,000 for a double VR room where two VR machines are available. In addition, each person must buy a drink, costing about 6,000 ₩ more each, totaling up to 42,000 ₩ for our hour in the café. They have a wide assortment of VR games available on their system, using the STEAM platform of VR. Some games include Job Simulator, Fruit Ninja, The Brookhaven Experiment, and Emily Wants to Play, including a wide range of game types. Our favorite game was Zombie Killer where you shoot zombies that come to attack you.

Drama Filming

Gayeong had to meet with her brother for dinner, so we all left at the station. After chill-axing at home, Andy and I decided to go to our local 7-Eleven for some late night desserts around 10:00 pm. I got a green tea and chocolate brownie 빙수 (bingsu: Korean shaved ice) and a yogurt drink; Andy got a cream cheese ice cream. While shopping, we saw filming going on right outside of 7-Eleven. We stalked them from the front of DMCville and found out that they were filming for an upcoming show called 아는 와이프 or Familiar Wife. To get a better view, we decided to go to A Twosome Place café across the street and got red velvet cake and tiramisu slices. The cast was filming a scene where the main girl bicycles and fights with a man from episode 5.
